Our Programs
CanSkate
Learn to skate in our CanSkate program, designed for beginners of all ages (ages 3 & up). Our Pre-Canskate program is offered for children 2 & up. The focus of this program is fun, participation and basic skill development.
- Complete 6 badges of balance, control and agility skills
- Coaches make sessions active using visual aids and music to create a fun, stimulating and welcoming environment
- Report cards, ribbons and badges are received in the program as kids progress through the various stages
- Typically twice a week, 45 minutes group lessons
JnrStar
A transitioning program between CanSkate & StarSkate. Designed for skaters who may pursue figure skating. The focus of this program is fun, participation and basic skill development.
- Report cards, ribbons and badges are received in the program as kids progress through the various stages
- Typically twice a week, 60 minutes group and semi-group lessons
StarSkate
Skills, tests, achievement and recognition! This program offers opportunities to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating.
- Group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner
- Includes specifically designed awards and incentives
- Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system
- The program consists of figure skating skills in four areas – Skating Skills, Ice Dance, Free Skate and Interpretive
- Skaters typically skate 3, 4 and up to 7 times a week
- Junior working on Star levels 1,2 & 3. Intermediate working on Star levels 4 & 5. Senior working on Star levels 5 and up
